Lymphatic filariasis (hathipaon)

accessibilityWhat is filaria

Filaria spreads by the Culex mosquito, which breeds in dirty water. The worm damages the body over years and causes swelling of legs (hathipaon) or hydrocele. Most infected people have no signs for years.
